Throughout this time, Amy participated in many dog sports including obedience, agility, tracking, field, flyball, dock diving, and confirmation.
Amy's passion centers in competition obedience and agility, where over the years, she has worked with top motivational U.S. handlers in these areas. She has received multiple high in trials in AKC Obedience as well as multiple championships in different venues of agility.
Her primary desire is to ensure her dogs are having fun in their work. While she values accuracy and high performance, Amy wants her dogs to love what they are doing and not just going through the motions. Her training style is motivational by using different taught behaviors to assist them to succeed. She respects her dogs and their intelligence, and she understands that each dog has their own unique strengths that can be used to help them reach their highest potential.
